Celebrating Holy Mass
Although the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is still dispensed, we have received permission to have 50 people in the church at a time. In the spirit of humility and charity, we are asking everyone to work with us on the requirements necessary to reopen. This will be a challenging time for all of us, but all things are possible with the grace of God.
The Archdiocese is allowing us to reopen, under the following requirements:
- The Archbishop asks that all who are age 10 and up wear masks. All are encouraged to bring their own masks; if you forgot to bring one, they will be available. Exceptions are made for those with health conditions that would be aggravated by wearing a face covering.
- Holy Communion will be distributed following the Final Blessing, as you exit the Church; instructions will be given before Mass begins.
- Physical distancing is required both in the church and in the parking lot, which means 6 feet of separation. The exception is only with one’s direct household family members. There will be signs, tape, and markers to aid us.
- For cleaning and sanitizing purposes, we ask people to not congregate or socialize on church property following Mass.
- A log will be kept of those who come, and you are encouraged to sign in. You are not absolutely required to give your personal information. It is important that you specify the number of people to reserve a space for them.
- Sign-up sheets will be kept for two weeks in order to allow us to contact parishioners if someone gets COVID-19.
In order to allow as many people as possible while observing new guidelines, we are asking that individuals sign up each week for the Mass at which they will attend. Anyone attending Mass does so at their own risk. Those who are vulnerable are still encouraged to stay home and watch on our YouTube channel. Please stay home if you or your children are sick.
You may make a reservation for your family by calling us at 360-458-3031 extension 5, no later than 2 PM the preceding Thursday. We will call you back to confirm your reservation. If you leave a voicemail but do not get a call back, then please be patient as we attempt to get back to you.
