Stewardship is based on the understanding that everything we have, including personal skills and possessions, is a gift from God. We show our gratitude for these gifts by returning a portion of them back to Him to help build the Kingdom of God on earth. This type of sacrificial giving is:

  • An intentional response to God’s generosity
  • Proportionate to size of gifts (“first fruits,” not leftovers)
  • From substance rather than our abundance
  • Tied to our belief that God will provide for our security and not the world

During Mass after sacrificial giving, we periodically request for ​prayers and financial help for special causes such as disaster ​relief and missionary work.

Fall Stewardship Campaign

One a year, parishioners are asked to pledge money for the upcoming year. Depending upon the amount projected, St. Columban and St. Peter plan their ministry efforts and enhancements.

Annual Catholic Appeal

After Easter, thousands of Catholics throughout Western Washington pool together funds for:

  • Training priests and deacons
  • Providing social services for the needy and poor
  • Sustaining Catholic school growth
  • Supporting retired priests and religious
