Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In a recent article by Dr. Joseph D. White, a National Catechetical Consultant, we are reminded that learning is not just for kids. Fall is the time of year when kids go back to school, ready
to learn new things, make new friends and continue to grow. Many of our parish children are also beginning another year of parish religious education, adding to their knowledge of our faith and
(hopefully) learning to live it out in new ways. Seeing our children return for another year of learning can be an opportunity for us as adults to reflect on whether we are still learning and growing in our faith.

To help achieve this end, the Parish subscribed to FORMED, an online Catholic resource founded by Augustine Institute. We have unlimited access to adult formation programs such as Symbolon a vibrant program presented by some of the most trusted Catholic teachers in the world. FORMED also comes with Beloved for marriage prep and enrichment. A popular program for baptismal prep called Reborn is also available. And for those into Bible study, you will love Lectio; a program with a vast collection of topics to make group Bible study fun filled and engaging. For the youth, YDisciple covers many questions that teenagers face today and equips them to better defend the faith. Biblical cartoons for children can also be accessed to keep kids entertained. These plus
many more are available in Spanish as well.

To have access to our subscription, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Click this link on your internet browser to register.
  2. Enter your personal email address.
  3. A verification email will be sent to you to verify and complete your registration by creating a password and other info. Your personal email will be your “Username.” Enjoy FORMED!

For those with smartphones, you can download the FORMED app from App Store or Google Play depending on your operating system. The signup instructions for the app are the same.
During this 12 month subscription period, your feedback would be highly appreciated so we can plan for the future or just use the program this one time. And as much as we would like to
guard our parish code jealously, please feel free to share it with family members or friends especially those who have drifted from the faith. You can recommend content such as movies, eBooks or programs you feel might be helpful.

I hope you will use our FORMED subscription to its fullest and this program becomes not only a family resource for catechesis and prayer but entertainment as well.

Pax et Bonum,
Fr. Dean
